Tebcal Cleaning
When you hire our services,
You accept our terms and conditions

TEBCAL Service Corp, operating as Tebcal Cleaning (“Tebcal Cleaning”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, with or without prior notice. These Terms apply to all cleaning services provided in Ottawa and surrounding areas.

By booking or receiving services from Tebcal Cleaning, the Client (“you” or “the Client”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services and Payments

1.1. Scope of Services

The services to be provided will be defined in the service agreement, quote, or written communication between Tebcal Cleaning and the Client. Emails, text messages, or other written confirmations may serve as evidence of the agreed scope of work.

1.2. Payment Terms

Invoices are issued after each cleaning service unless otherwise agreed. Payment must be made via electronic transfer to Tebcal Cleaning within five (5) calendar days of receipt of the invoice.

Late payments may incur a late fee of CAD $10 per day until payment is received. Tebcal Cleaning reserves the right to decide not to charge this fee to its customers

1.3. Pricing

Quoted prices may vary depending on the property’s condition and room size. Tebcal Cleaning reserves the right to reassess rates if there are changes to the task list or the client’s initial requirements. Our team consists of professionals dedicated to performing all cleaning tasks within the estimated timeframe agreed upon. If the initial allotted time is insufficient to cover all requested areas, or if additional tasks are added to the original scope, the service fee will be adjusted to account for the extra time required. Our policy follows a «pay-for-service» model: additional requirements result in additional charges.

Conversely, should we agree on an extended timeframe but complete the service early, you will only be billed for the actual time spent cleaning. Please exercise caution when scheduling long sessions; if you choose to dismiss the team before they have finished their assigned tasks, you must provide a written explanation stating the reason for the early termination of the service.

1.4. Time Estimates

Time estimates for cleaning are based on average times and may vary. One-time, deep cleaning or first cleanings may take longer than regular maintenance cleanings.

1.5 TIPS

Tips are appreciated by your cleaning team but not required, you can give the tips in cash.

2. Cancellations and Re-scheduling

2.1. Cancellation by Client

Clients must notify Tebcal Cleaning at least 24 hours before a scheduled service to avoid a cancellation fee ($50). Tebcal Cleaning reserves the right to decide not to charge this fee to its customers.

NO TERMS OR CONTRACT: There is no term to this agreement between the client or Tebcal Cleaning, and this also reserves the right to cancel the service provided at any time.

2.2. Re-scheduling by Tebcal Cleaning

If Tebcal Cleaning must reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, the Client will be notified as soon as possible using their preferred contact method. Reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule promptly.

3. Access to Property

3.1. Access Arrangements

Clients must ensure secure, timely, and immediate access to the property (including keys, codes, concierge access, or any other entry requirements). A $50 CAD fee will be charged if our cleaning staff cannot access the property due to client error, such as waiting to enter, faulty access codes, or any other client-related delay that prevents the service from commencing.

3.2. Alarm Systems

If the property has an alarm system, clients must provide clear instructions on how to deactivate/reactivate it. Tebcal Cleaning is not liable for false alarms or any associated fees.

4. Equipment and Supplies

4.1. Cleaning Materials

Tebcal Cleaning provides all cleaning materials unless otherwise requested by the Client. If Client’s materials or equipment are used, they must be safe, operational, and require no special skills. Any type of surface or material requiring a special product or care during cleaning must be reported to Tebcal Cleaning at the start of the service to determine if our team can perform the cleaning. Tebcal Cleaning will not be responsible for claims regarding such items that have not been previously reported, nor for those related to materials or objects that appear old, worn, or vintage.

The client accepts and acknowledges that Tebcal Cleaning is not responsible for defective, fragile, or damage-prone items or objects. If the client owns wooden items or other delicate materials, they must report them when requesting the service, so they can be taken into consideration before cleaning begins

If the client requires the use of specific cleaning products, they must provide them. This also applies if the client has specific preferences or if our standard products do not meet their requirements. Any products, mops, or equipment provided by the client will remain at the property; our team will only use them during scheduled visits. In the event that a client-provided item is accidentally taken by our team, we will replace or return it as soon as possible.

NOTE: If anything is missing, you must notify us immediately so that we can return or replace it. If no notification is received within a 2-day period, the claim will no longer be valid.

We always recommend letting us know about any allergies or products we should not use in your home.

4.2. Instruction for Equipment and Material Use

If the Client’s equipment is complex, clear and detailed instructions must be provided. Tebcal Cleaning staff have the right to refuse to use materials or equipment that they deem defective, dangerous, or that may affect their physical integrity.

4.3. Liability for Client’s Equipment

Tebcal Cleaning is not responsible for any issues arising from the use of the Client’s materials or equipment.

5. Equipment and Supplies

5.1 Checklists

Clients can request a checklist or leave a priority list for the cleaners. The checklist ensures that tasks are completed within the allotted time.

Under no circumstances are Tebcal Cleaning personnel authorized to perform any activities other than the cleaning for which they were hired. Should any other activity be carried out beyond what is described above, the client will be fully responsible for the safety of the personnel and will be liable for any resulting damage to the property, Tebcal Cleaning personnel, or any third party.

Tebcal Cleaning will not provide cleaning services considered to be work at heights or outdoors, and its staff is not authorized to perform such work even if the client requests it.

6. Refunds Policy

6.1 Refund

The client must be present at the end of the service to inspect the property before the cleaning staff departs. If the client is present during or after the service, they must verify the quality of the work with our personnel. Any dissatisfaction or deficiencies must be reported immediately to the staff on-site so they can be corrected before they leave the premises.

Once the client has inspected the home and the cleaning staff has left the property, the service is considered accepted and complete. No further claims or requests for re-cleaning will be accepted after the team has departed. If the client chooses not to be present for the final inspection, they waive their right to any subsequent claims regarding the quality of the service provided.

6.2 Cancellations Refund

Refunds will be issued if the Client cancels a scheduled cleaning session within the allowed time (24 hours prior) and payment or deposit has already been made.

6.3 No-show Refunds

Refunds will be issued if a cleaner does not show up for a scheduled session, and payment has been received.

7. Complaints and Disputes

7.1 Handling Complaints

All complaints are taken seriously. Clients should contact Tebcal Cleaning as soon as possible to resolve any issues.

7.2 Immediate Notification

The client must be present at the end of the service to inspect the property before the cleaning staff departs.

If the client is not satisfied with a service in progress, they must immediately notify Tebcal Cleaning by speaking directly with the staff on-site. It is important to remember that all concerns and complaints must be communicated with respect.

8. Liability

8.1 Timeliness and Attendance

Tebcal Cleaning is not liable for any losses, expenses, damages, delays, costs, or compensation arising from late arrival of cleaners due to transportation or other issues beyond its control. In all cases, Arrival times are provided as time windows, not exact times, the customer will be notified of a time range during which Tebcal Cleaning staff can start the service without specifying an exact time.

8.2 Property Damage

Tebcal Cleaning is not responsible for damages due to pre-existing conditions, lack of water/electricity, or the presence of third parties during cleaning. Blocked toilets, drains, or other types of damage are not the responsibility of Tebcal Cleaning, nor is it obligated to resolve them.

8.3 Valuables and Personal Safety

At Tebcal Cleaning, your security and trust are our top priorities. However, we strongly recommend safeguarding cash, jewelry, and any other items of high value. All fragile or irreplaceable items should be stored or removed prior to the service to prevent accidents.

8.4 Minor Damages

Tebcal Cleaning will agree with the client on how to resolve any damages clearly and demonstrably caused by its personnel, valued at CAD 100.00 or less. For amounts exceeding this, a claim must be filed with the insurance company, and the client acknowledges and agrees to abide by the process stipulated by said insurer.

8.5. Accidental Damage and Breakage

While rare, accidents can happen. Our team is strictly instructed to report any breakage to our office immediately.
– If the client is present: Our staff will notify you in person as soon as the accident occurs.
– If the client is not present: Our staff will leave a written note at the property and we will contact you.

8.6 Claims and Inspections

The client must be present at the end of the cleaning to inspect the property before the staff departs. Any damage must be reported immediately. * Report Window: Any incident must be officially reported to Tebcal Cleaning within 24 hours of the service.

  • Liability Limits: Once the cleaning staff has left the premises, Tebcal Cleaning is no longer responsible for damages if the origin of the damage cannot be verified.
  • Resolution: If an item is damaged or broken by our team, we reserve the option to repair or replace the item. To reach a compensation agreement, the client must provide proof of the monetary value of any unique item.

8.7 Wall Decor and Hanging Items

Tebcal Cleaning and its staff will exercise extreme care when dusting frames and wall decor. However, clients are responsible for using proper hanging techniques. We are not responsible for items secured with non-original hooks, pins, threads, or unstable mounting hardware.

8.8 Theft Policy

If a client suspects or confirms a theft, it is their responsibility to report the incident to Tebcal Cleaning immediately. In such cases, the client must file a formal police report and proceed with legal action. Tebcal Cleaning does not directly cover claims of this nature.

8.9 Insurance and Peace of Mind

We strive to be your most reliable choice for home cleaning. For your protection and ours, our company carries General Liability Insurance to back the professional delivery of our services.

9. Supplementary Conditions

9.1 Clutter

Excessive clutter may limit cleaning results. Tebcal Cleaning is not responsible for lost items in cluttered areas.

9.2 Immediate abandonment of the property

Tebcal Cleaning staff will immediately leave the service location in cases where they are victims of physical or verbal aggression by the client or any third party on the property, as well as if there are risk factors to their physical integrity (presence of weapons, drugs, aggressive and wild animals, objects or dangerous people).

9.3 Supervision of Children

Children should be supervised for their safety during the cleaning service.

9.4 Pets

If you have pets, our cleaners do appreciate it when they are secured and that you pick up after them. We do not clean litter boxes or urine/feces from the floor. Aggressive pets must be secured away from the cleaning area. Cleaners reserve the right to leave if a pet exhibits aggressive behavior, and the full cleaning fee will be charged. Tebcal Cleaning is not responsible for pets’ behavior during the cleaning service and the dirt generated by them at the end.

9.5 Quality Control

Our quality control consists of making home inspections and phone calls. A supervisor may enter your home during or after our cleaning team has done their job. They may call you at home or work. We believe that inspections and client contact is the best way to help in exceeding your expectations and improve our high standards. You may also receive a satisfaction survey. We appreciate you feedback.

9.6 Use of Photos

By hiring Tebcal Cleaning, Clients agree to allow them to take before & after photos of their space use to track and document the cleaning progress. Additionally these pictures may be used for marketing & as proof of work completed. This reduces discrepancies in expectations and helps Tebcal Cleaning continue to monitor its cleaning work quality and integrity.

The photos of before & after cleaning taken will be properties of Tebcal Cleaning will not disclose cleaning location or reveal parts of the home that may indicate the customer’s personal information. Customers who are not comfortable with pictures may express their concerns to Tebcal Cleaning by calling or emailing us.

9.7 Bed Making

Beds are not made unless specifically requested to respect Client privacy.

10. Extra Work

Extra Work

Please call us in advance for special requests (i.e., refrigerator cleaning, garage cleaning, additional rooms, or any other extras) so we can schedule the necessary time to complete these tasks. We will provide an estimate over the phone; however, we reserve the right to adjust the quote after the work is completed. A customer may request additional work for their home as long as they contact Tebcal Cleaning before the scheduled service time to make the necessary adjustments.

Items we cannot clean/do

We have instructed our staff to leave certain items untouched, such as items or areas containing any body fluids or excretions and litter boxes. If your pet has an accident or vomits, it will be your responsibility to clean it up. Our teams are advised to clean around these areas. Seasonal insect infestation can also be a problem and may prevent us from completely cleaning your home. If ants, termites, roaches, fleas, etc., are encountered, Tebcal Cleaning cleaners will not clean or vacuum the area. We will notify you immediately in person before leaving the house, or we will leave you a note regarding the problem.

We do not clean inside cabinets. If you have other items you prefer we not clean or handle, please call the office and we will arrange to avoid those items. Our staff cannot climb higher than a step stool, one to two rungs on a ladder, work on the outside of your home, move furniture that contains electronics, lift any objects over 20 pounds, prepare meals, provide any pet or children-related services, or empty diaper pails.

Cleaning Behing Appliances

Cleaning behind appliances such as ovens, refrigerators, etc., is not included in standard cleanings, only in deep cleanings. Dryers, washing and gas stoves machines will not be moved under any circumstances. Cleaning behind furniture in homes will not be performed if moving the furniture poses a risk to our cleaning staff, the homeowners, or the furniture itself. During deep cleanings, if a client requests cleaning behind furniture, the furniture must be removed before our cleaning staff arrives. Otherwise, the client releases Tebcal Cleaning from liability for any damage that may occur to the property due to the handling or movement of the furniture.

Interiors of ovens, refrigerators, cabinets, etc. Customers requesting cleaning of the interiors of ovens, refrigerators, or cabinets must have these areas empty before our cleaners arrive. Please also consider the additional time and cost this will entail. The cleaning team will not be responsible for putting things back; this is the client’s responsibility.

Our move-in/move-out cleaning requires that the customer’s home be empty before the cleaning service begins. We recommend doing the cleaning after everything has been picked up and put away, so that no one makes a mess afterwards.

Wall Washing/Wall spot Cleaning

Customers who book wall washing or wall spot cleaning service with us agree that Tebcal Cleaning shall not be responsible for any damage to the walls during cleaning. There are several factors that may lead to damage to walls during cleaning and some pre-existing conditions may already be present before the service is rendered. Tebcal Cleaning reserves the right to refuse wall service, or any other cleaning service on grounds of health & safety, or other reasons as pertaining to its ability to properly perform the job.

11. Personal Information

Tebcal Cleaning will never share your information or call information with third-party companies or services without prior consent or unless required by provincial or federal law.

12. Final Terms

16.1 Hiring a team from Tebcal Cleaning

Our teams are prohibited from soliciting business from any client on their own behalf or on behalf of a third party during their contract with Tebcal Cleaning, and for two years after the termination of the contract, without the written approval of Tebcal Cleaning . You agree not to hire past or present teams from Tebcal Cleaning, for a period of no less than two years from the date the team member last worked in your property for Tebcal Cleaning; Otherwise, you acknowledge and accept that Tebcal Cleaning may charge you, as a customer, a penalty of $2.000 (Two Thousand CAD) for breach of this clause.

16.2 Amendments to Terms

Tebcal Cleaning reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these Terms and Conditions with notice to the Client.

16.3 Binding Agreement

These terms constitute a binding agreement between Tebcal Cleaning and the Client.
